2017 HunterHackFest Event Hubs
As part of our plans to go bigger in 2017, we're designing an event that can be run simultaneously across more than 1 location, so we can bring together teams from around the Hunter into Event Hubs that are Convenient, Connected, Collaborative and Convivial. C what we mean?
If you're in a location that you would like to have participating in our 2017 Challenge categories, we're keen to work with you. Let's start the ball rolling with a phone call to our Event Host, Brian Hill, on 0414 430 450.

What you'll need
- First, read the FAQ's and get an understanding of what's involved in the event model;
- A space that can host a range of teams. Even better if you have Plan A, Plan B spaces to cater for different event sizes if you find yourself stretched for space;
- Access to good food and catering - event attendees get thirsty / hungry with all that hard thinking - this is a chance to show off your regional providores and cuisine (yes, we post to Instagram during the event);
- Connectivity - we're building stuff on the internet after all, as well as live streaming across our event sites, so make sure it's good +reliable (yes, we understand the difficulties involved in that - you have our sympathies);
- Close to accomodation - you might find you get some out of area attendees looking to weave their experience into a Hunter based weekend travel experience. If you can secure some great accommodation packages with local operators, it's a win-win;
- A large display wall to project onto + projector - we want to ensure our teams remain connected through the experience, with live streams running through the event.
